Post Views: 124 The inauguration ceremony of Professor Rukshan Fernandopulle, appointed as the 40th President of the Sri Lanka College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, was held yesterday (11) at the Galadari Hotel, Colombo, under the theme “Bringing Gaps in Women’s Health: Through Collaboration, Education, Training and Research”. The event was graced by the Guest of Honour, Specialist Dr. Anil Jasinghe, Secretary to the Ministry of Health and Mass Media, and special guests including Supreme Court Justice Yasantha Kodagoda and Professor Emeritus Subarathnam Arulkumaran of St. George’s University, London. The Patron of the College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, Professor Jayantha Jayawardena, Chairman Dr. Sanath Akmeemana, Secretary Dr. Chaminda Hunukumbura, Council members, doctors, government officials, scholars, and other invitees were also present.
