Press Conference for the International Youth Festival 2026 (IFY-2026) Held in Colombo.

A special awareness press conference regarding the International Youth Festival 2026 (IFY-2026) was held at the Russian House in Colombo. The festival is scheduled to take place from September 11 to 17, 2026, in Yekaterinburg, Russia.

Set to be one of the largest international youth events of the year, the festival will bring together 10,000 young leaders from over 100 countries. This includes 5,000 international participants, supported by approximately 2,000 volunteers involved in the organization. The comprehensive program features educational sessions, international forums, project laboratories, and cultural events, offering extensive opportunities for professional and personal networking.

The press conference was jointly organized by the Russian House and the Sri Lankan Executive Committee of the World Youth Festival, led by its Chairman, Mahesh Alahapperuma. During the event, detailed information was provided regarding the festival’s program, opportunities for youth, eligibility criteria, and the registration process. Registration is currently open and will remain so until April 30, 2026.

Sri Lanka has been an active participant in this festival movement for three consecutive years. Delegations from Sri Lanka previously attended the festivals held in Sochi (2023) and Nizhny Novgorod (2024). This year, a group of the most talented representatives of Sri Lankan youth will once again travel to Russia—this time to Yekaterinburg.

The Russian House continues its active engagement with Sri Lankan youth by selecting the most talented and promising candidates, encouraging their participation in international projects, and creating new avenues for development, international cooperation, and cultural exchange.

2026 ජාත්‍යන්තර තරුණ උළෙල (IFY-2026) පිළිබඳ මාධ්‍ය සාකච්ඡාව කොළඹදී පැවැත්වේ.

2026 ජාත්‍යන්තර තරුණ උළෙල (IFY-2026) පිළිබඳ දැනුවත් කිරීමේ විශේෂ මාධ්‍ය සාකච්ඡාවක් කොළඹ පිහිටි රුසියානු මධ්‍යස්ථානයේදී (Russian House) පැවැත්විණි. මෙම උළෙල 2026 සැප්තැම්බර් 11 සිට 17 දක්වා රුසියාවේ යෙකටරින්බර්ග් (Yekaterinburg) නුවරදී පැවැත්වීමට නියමිතය.

මෙම උළෙල වසරේ දැවැන්තම ජාත්‍යන්තර තරුණ උත්සවවලින් එකක් වනු ඇති අතර, ඒ සඳහා රටවල් 100කට අධික සංඛ්‍යාවකින් තරුණ නායකයින් 10,000ක් එක්වනු ඇත. මීට ජාත්‍යන්තර සහභාගිවන්නන් 5,000ක් ඇතුළත් වන අතර, උත්සවයේ සංවිධාන කටයුතු සඳහා ස්වේච්ඡා සේවකයන් 2,000ක් පමණ සම්බන්ධ වනු ඇත. වැඩසටහනට අධ්‍යාපනික සැසි, ජාත්‍යන්තර සංසද, ව්‍යාපෘති විද්‍යාගාර, සංස්කෘතික වැඩසටහන් මෙන්ම වෘත්තීය සහ පෞද්ගලික සබඳතා ගොඩනගා ගැනීම (Networking) සඳහා පුළුල් අවස්ථා ඇතුළත් වේ.

මෙම මාධ්‍ය සාකච්ඡාව රුසියානු මධ්‍යස්ථානය සහ ලෝක තරුණ උළෙලේ ශ්‍රී ලංකා විධායක කමිටුව හා එහි සභාපති මහේෂ් අලහප්පෙරුම මහතා විසින් ඒකාබද්ධව සංවිධානය කරන ලදී. එහිදී උළෙලේ වැඩසටහන් මාලාව, තරුණ තරුණියන්ට හිමිවන අවස්ථා, සහභාගී වීමේ සුදුසුකම් සහ දැනට විවෘතව පවතින ලියාපදිංචි වීමේ ක්‍රියාවලිය පිළිබඳ සවිස්තරාත්මක තොරතුරු ඉදිරිපත් කෙරිණි. මෙහි ලියාපදිංචිය 2026 අප්‍රේල් 30 දක්වා විවෘතව පවතී.

ශ්‍රී ලංකාව අඛණ්ඩව වසර තුනක් තිස්සේ මෙම උළෙල සඳහා සක්‍රීයව දායක වී ඇත. 2023 වසරේදී රුසියාවේ සෝචි (Sochi) නුවර පැවැති උළෙලට සහ 2024 දී නිශ්නි නොව්ගොරොඩ් (Nizhny Novgorod) නුවර පැවැති උළෙලටද ශ්‍රී ලංකාවෙන් නියෝජිත කණ්ඩායම් සහභාගී වූහ. මෙම වසරේදීද ශ්‍රී ලංකේය තරුණ පරපුරේ දක්ෂතම නියෝජිතයන් පිරිසක් නැවත වරක් රුසියාවේ යෙකටරින්බර්ග් බලා පිටත්ව යනු ඇත.

රුසියානු මධ්‍යස්ථානය වඩාත් දක්ෂ හා බලාපොරොත්තු සහගත අපේක්ෂකයින් තෝරා ගැනීමෙන්, ජාත්‍යන්තර ව්‍යාපෘති සඳහා ඔවුන්ගේ සහභාගීත්වය දිරිමත් කිරීමෙන් සහ ජාත්‍යන්තර සහයෝගීතාවය හා සංස්කෘතික හුවමාරුව සඳහා නව අවස්ථා නිර්මාණය කරමින් ශ්‍රී ලාංකේය තරුණ තරුණියන් සමඟ අඛණ්ඩව සම්බන්ධ වී සිටියි.
