ජගත් කාන්තා දිනයේ ලොවෙන් සමුගත් අසහාය හඩ පෞර්ෂය රම්‍යා වනිගසේකර Veteran actress & journalist Ramya Wanigasekara passes away

ගුවන් විදුලි ප්‍රවෘත්ති නිවේදිකාවක්, රංගන ශිල්පිනියක් මෙන්ම මාධ්‍යවේදිනියක් ලෙසද කටයුතු කල කලාභූෂණ රම්‍යා වනිගසේකර මහත්මිය අද (2024 මාර්තු මස 08) දින අභාවප්‍රාප්ත වී ඇත.

1936 ජූලි 17 කෑගල්ල කොටියාකුඹුරේදී උපත ලද රම්‍යා සහෝදර සහෝදරියන් හත් දෙනකුගෙන් යුත් පවුලක පස්වැනි දරුවායි. රම්‍යාට වැඩිමහල් සහෝදරියන් දෙදෙනෙක්, වැඩිමහල් සහෝදරයන් දෙදෙනෙක් සහ බාල සහෝදරයන් දෙදෙනෙක් විය. ඇයගේ පියා වතු අධිකාරීවරයෙකු වූ බැවින් ඇයට පාසල් කිහිපයකම අධ්‍යාපනය ලැබීමට සිදුවූ අතර අවසානයේ රුවන්වැල්ල රාජකීය විද්‍යාලයෙන් සිය අධ්‍යාපනය සම්පූර්ණ කළාය.

මෙරට ප්‍රසිද්ධ නාට්‍යවේදී ආර් ආර් සමරකෝන් මහතා සමග විවාහා වී සිටි මෙම දෙපලගේ එකම දියණිය බුද්ධිකා මුදිතානි වේ. සමරකෝන් මහතා වර්ෂ 2010 දී ජීවිතයෙන් සමුගන්නා ලදී.

වර්ෂ 1980 දී රේඩියෝ සිලෝන් සමග සම්බන්ධවූ රම්‍යා 2006 වසරේ ඉන් විශ්‍රාම ගන්නා තෙක්ම නිත්‍ය ප්‍රවෘත්ති නිවේදිකාවක් ලෙස කටයුතු කලාය. ඉන් අනතුරුව මේ දක්වාමත් හදිසි අවස්ථාවල සිය දායකත්වය පුවත් නිවේදන සදහා ලබාදුන් ඇය ගුවන් විදුලියේ A-ශ්‍රේණියේ නූර්ති ගායනා ශිල්පිණියකි.

වර්ෂ 1978 දී ආර් ආර් සමරකෝන් ගේ කැළණි පාලම නාට්‍යයේ “මැටිල්ඩා”ගේ චරිතය නිරූපණය කරමින් ඒහා සමග එක්වූ ඇය වසර 44 ක් අඛන්ඩව එහි රගපාමින් වාර්තාවක් ද තබා ඇත.

විවිධ දක්ෂතාවයන් රාශියකින් මෙරට සුවහසක් රසික සිත් සනහාලූ කලාභූෂණ රම්‍යා වනිගසේකර මහත්මියට නිවන් සුව ලැබේවා.

Mrs. Kalabhushana Ramya Vanigasekara, who worked as a radio news anchor, actress and journalist, has passed away today (March 8, 2024). Born on July 17, 1936 in Kegalle Kotiakumbura, Ramya is the fifth child in a family of seven siblings. Ramya had two elder sisters, two elder brothers and two younger brothers. As her father was an estate superintendent, she had to study in several schools and finally completed her education at Ruwanwella Royal College.
Buddhika Muditani is the only daughter of this couple who was married to the famous dramatist of Sri Lanka Mr. RR Samarakoon. Mr. Samarakoon passed away in 2010. Ramya joined Radio Ceylon in 1980 and worked as a regular news anchor till her retirement in 2006. After that, she is an A-grade Noorti singer on the radio who has contributed to news announcements in emergency situations till now.
She joined him in 1978 in RR Samarakoon’s Kelani Palam play “Matilda” and has also set a record by acting there for 44 years continuously. Rest in peace to Mrs. Kalabhushana Ramya Vanigasekera, who delighted the hearts of fans in this country with her many talents.
