Post Views: 287 The official conclusion of the ‘Empower’ programme—an island-wide provincial journalist training initiative jointly undertaken by Ministry of Mass Media & Information – Sri Lanka and United Nations Development Programme – UNDP #SriLanka through the support of UN PeaceBuilding Fund was held yesterday in #Colombo 🇱🇰 Participating at the event was Dr. Bandula Gunawardhena, Minister of Transport and Highways and Mass Media, Mr. Anusha Palpita, Secretary, Media Ministry & Ms. Malin Herwig Deputy Res Rep UNDP #SriLanka along with other high-level reps from the media landscape. Over the course of the prog, a total of 350 journalists were reached thru provincial level trainings & workshops, designed to emphasize the fundamental ethics & values in the media, while ensuring that journalists remain abreast of latest developments, both locally and internationally.
