{"id":5796,"date":"2022-10-27T21:25:29","date_gmt":"2022-10-27T15:55:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.smn24.lk\/?p=5796"},"modified":"2022-10-27T21:57:21","modified_gmt":"2022-10-27T16:27:21","slug":"new-fully-equipped-hospital-to-biyagama-under-the-wellness-village-concept","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.smn24.lk\/?p=5796","title":{"rendered":"New fully equipped hospital to Biyagama under the \u201cWellness Village\u201d concept."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.smn24.lk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/smn-news-2654.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5797\" width=\"838\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.smn24.lk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/smn-news-2654.jpg 560w, https:\/\/www.smn24.lk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/smn-news-2654-300x161.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 838px) 100vw, 838px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A discussion on the acquisition of land for the construction of a new hospital under the \u2018Wellness Village\u2019 concept, adjacent to the Biyagama Hospital, was held today (27) at the Presidential Secretariat under the patronage of Presidential Adviser on Climate Change, Mr. Ruwan Wijewardene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Based on the concept of President Ranil Wickremesinghe, the Wellness Village concept is being implemented for the first time in Sri Lanka to promote &#8220;Medical Tourism&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This fully equipped hospital with all facilities on par with international standards is to be constructed mainly targeting foreign tourists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Having looked into the plans of the hospital, Mr Ruwan Wijewardene instructed the officials to expedite the land acquisition process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Opposition Leader of the Biyagama Pradeshiya Sabha &#8211; Prasanna Sampath, President&#8217;s Additional Secretary &#8211; Chandima Wickramasinghe, President&#8217;s Senior Coordinating Secretary \u2013 K.P.
